  17. My last message to locate James Herriot, the author of fantastic
  18. animal books, such as "Vets might fly", "Its shouldn't happen
  19. to a vet", "The Lord God made them all", ....  , has received
  20. numerous replies from all the nice people over the world ...
  21.  
  22. My sincere thanks to Susan, Vicki, John, Liz, Roberta, DNC, Paul,
  23. Bob, Alan, Marie, Steve, Mary and many others who never mention
  24. their names in their mail ( except their email address ) ...
  25.  
  26. The information I received is:
  27. 1.  James Herriot's real name is James Alfred White
  28. 2.  Darrowby is actually in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, UK
  29.     ( about 20 miles northnorthwest of York )
  30. 3.  Writing to his publisher may help to locate him
  31.     ( I will try but worry that I may not get the reply by April, 
  32.       when I leave for UK )
  33. 4.  He may not be friendly to autograph hunter 8(  (ie all his fans) 
  34. 5.  He may have retired from his practice and is living 
  35.     somewhere else (Scotland?)  ;(  (worst info I received)

  37. In his books, he works (owns) in a vet clinic in Darrowby.
  38. If I cannot find him, I suppose I can at least take some photos
  39. of the place.  So anyone know the actual name of the clinic
  40. and the address ?  In addition, please email to me if anyone
  41. have additional information not listed above!  Thanks you all!
