  13. i am looking to have some coders/crackers/hackers/whatevers put together a
  14. nice upbeat demo for my bbs.  in order to encourage the coders, i am
  15. offering the winner a one year subscription to either amigaworld or
  16. amazing, and another item of my choice.  sounds like a decent prize, right?
  17.  
  18. when sending your entry, please include your name, full mailing address,
  19. any e-mail addresses you may have and your prize preference--amigaworld or
  20. amazing.  giving me your t-shirt size might be a good idea too! :)

  22. the rules are as follows...

  25. 1) entries may be submitted by mail though submissions my modem are
  26. preferred
  27. 2) no entries will be returned
  28. 3) the winning entry becomes the property of the contest sponsor (me!)
  29. 4) entries must be received by Monday, March 1, 1993
  30. 5) themes MUST NOT include or reference cracking/spreading/warez, etc
  31.      a) themes SHOULD focus on world wide networks ala internet, usenet,
  32.         fidonet, amiganet, packet radio, etc
  33. 6) demos MUST include sponsor's sysop (name, pic, etc), bbs name, bbs logo,
  34.    electronic addresses, telephone number(s) and creative/original fonts,
  35. etc
  36. 7) demos MUST run on an A3000; optionally run on lesser machines
  37. 8) demos may run in pal mode though ntsc is preferred
  38. 9) demos must have all original theme music... can you say ((((STEREO))))

  43. now, a little background about the bbs and myself...
  44.  
  45. the system's resources are dedicated primarily to internationally linked
  46. echomail and newsgroup message areas.  from the one system you can access
  47. the fidonet, usenet/internet and amiganet electronic networks.  as the name
  48. implies, the system was established to serve as an electronic information
  49. resource for owners and potential owners of 680x0-based cpus.
  50.  
  51. although the system's focus is not executables (files), there is an on-line
  52. cd-rom file server which services amiga and macintosh users.  current
  53. cd-roms include fish discs 1-750 and 1.7gigs of macintosh pd software.
  54.  
  55. the bbs first went up in january of 1992.  it runs on a 25mhz 3000 w/ 350
  56. megs of message space and 3 cd roms--uploads are discouraged though there
  57. is space available seriously!  the bbs is not multiline, but is networked.

  104. as for me, my handle is session manager which comes from the name of a
  105. multitasking/switching interface that runs on ibm mainframes.  i have a
  106. couple cracker friends, but i don't want to say hi to them in a demo!  i DO
  107. want to say hi to my girlfriend trina (rat-bait) and some other heroes of
  108. the legitimate networking community--mainly Stephen McRae, Reid Bishop,
  109. Greg Bastow, Doug McLean, Santosh Bungay, Chuck Buck, Maximilian Hantsch,
  110. TpT's crew, Steve Lewis, Mike Moon, Luca Spada, Eric Buckner, Eric DeLord,
  111. Eric De Jong, Sam Yee, Roger Nordin, Richard Classic, Lawrence Chen, Dan
