-
- For the most part the music I've heard has not been EXACT copies of anything.
- If someone were to enter a perfect copy of one of the current top 5 I'd
- expect it to be less well recieved than an original composition. For the
- most part the demos and music entered may copy some ideas from other works,
- but are far from being perfect reproductions of them. A lot of the art
- I've seen is a different matter. If someone wants to paint in Boris
- Vallejo's style of fantasy artwork I wouldn't see a problem, but doing an
- exact copy of one of his paintings shows little talent.
-
- As for determining the copy, well, if no one at the competition catches it
- then I guess the 'artist' gets away with it. But if someone does notice
- then in my opinion it should be brought to the judges attention, and it's
- up to them what they do about it.

-
- Ever tried drawing in HAM on an unaccelerated Amiga? Besides which drawing
- a picture from scratch in HAM isn't particularly easy. Most HAM pics would
- be first hand drawn, scanned in and then touched up. Most of the artists
- involved simply wouldn't have access to scanners or the accelerated Amigas
- really needed.
