  13. I just reglassed a fin to my board this winter, my first real repair
  14. After I finished the glassing, I started sanding with progressively finer
  15. sand paper. I went down to wet sanding with 600 grit paper. After that,
  16. I used auto rubbing compound (the red stuff) and a damp rag. To get
  17. a good glossy polished look, I then used polishing compound. The problem
  18. is....with such a good finish, all the small bubbles in the fillet area
  19. were visible........

  21. I used a round file and a grinding stone (in my drill) to grind out
  22. the delaminated glass at the fin base. I made sure to remove all of
  23. the damaged glass.  I didn't use a power sander, just alot of elbow
  24. grease....I kept switching hands when fatigue set in........
