- An update on the inoperable prostate cancer.
-
- I've been having some heavy duty pains in the back. It seemed time to
- determine whether it was what we've been fearing since the initial
- diagnosis--metastasis to the bone. So, I scheduled a bone scan.
-
- I had the bone scan today. It showed two spots on the spine: one in the
- thoracic area, and one at hip level. The nuclear medicine specialist
- hasn't seen it yet, to confirm that it's cancer, but I have little
- doubt. The back pains have been fierce. If this is what a small spot
- feels like, I hate to think what it's going to be like when it spreads.
-
- One possibility, not explored with the medical critter until the
- specialist interprets the scan, is another dose of ratiation therapy in
- the new areas. Maybe it's possible. I won't know until Monday.
-
- It's most decidedly time to stop working.
-
- Fuckity-fuck!
-
- Oh, yes. Another thing. I got my wife another dog to replace our old
- Golden Retriever, which I had to have put to sleep the day before
- Christmas. She's a terrific dog. Five years old, and never trained at
- anything. Not even housebroken. So, I have a project. :-)
