- Yes, haven't you been reading all about the Polaris and Arctic Cat machines
- in this newsgroup?

- Actually, I wouldn't even consider the Phazer line as the best yamaha has to
- offer, but you are right, they are a good machine in the power to weight
- ratio department. My biggest problems with the Yamaha line of machines is
- that their dependabilityisn't that of a Cat or a Polaris. For proof of this
- just look at the last few I500 races and see how many Polaris and Cats have
- finished as opposed to Yamahas.

-
- Well, you are going to hear a lot about them now. If you want to discuss
- Yamahas then post about yamahas. I would be happy to talk about them. On
- top of that, there has been considerable discussion about restoring/repairing
- older Skidoos, talk about communicators, and other aftermarket performance
- add ons.
-
- Yes, I believe that there isn't a better machien made than a Polaris Indy,
- but I also have the attitude that it doesn't matter near as much WHAT you
- ride as long as you ride.
-
- As far as Indy's being to big and too slow, have you seen the spec sheet
- on the VMAX4? Define your catagory. Yes, my 707 weighs much more than
- your Phazer, but a comparable Indy doesn't and has more punch than the
- Phazer. Too slow, I disagree. How crazy do you want me to be about
- this? My 707 will suck your PhazerII in and spit it out without even getting
- off idle. See my point, apples and oranges.
-
- Now on to more pertinent things. Tell us about your machine. It has been
- a couple of years since I was on a Phazer. What motor does it have? Have
- you done any mods to it? What type of riding do you do with it? Have you
- had any major problems with it? (Like my piston sticking problem) How
- many miles does it have on it? Things like that.
-
-
- As a general statement, I hope there aren't any lurkers out there who
- get turned off by this group. We want everyone to participate. You must,
- however, realize that I own Polaris machines and have for years. Therefore,
- I will have a Polaris influence in what I talk about.
