- Before you start thinking I am an idiot: I did know to change the IRQs.
-
- At first I set my modem IRQ to 5 (I didn't want to have to mess with all my SB
- stuff if I changed its IRQ instead). No software I have would recognize it.
-
- Giving up I set my modem to COM4 (IRQ3) and changed the SB (original model) to
- IRQ5 since I use it in windows and might have wanted to print and play a sample
- at the same time.
-
- The DOS communications packages I have all work now, and all my DOS games were
- able to use the SB without problem. When I started up windows I was relieved to
- have it signal me that the SB was no longer on IRQ3.
-
- Unfortunately, when I went to configure the SB in windows no matter what
- interrupt I specified the SB was not recognized. Windows now says that I just
- don't have one. Am I doing something wrong? It won't acknowledge the modem
- either if that means anything.
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
