- First of all, Pretty Woman is one of the most disappointing movies
- of the decade. Its sappy ending came out of nowhere, destroying (at
- least for me) all the happy things that had already happened. I couldn't
- believe that ending (BTW, you *are* aware that originally they don't get
- together at the end?).
- Anyway, my recommendation? *War of the Roses*. A truly dark film
- about love turned to hate -- you should watch it with someone you think
- you love. Or, if you're a wimp, watch *The Princess Bride*. This is one
- of the few romantic films which I respected, thoroughly enjoyed, and would
- watch again (and again, and again, and again...). I remain,

- PS. New theory: unrequited love tends to adversely affect one's immune
- system <hack, cough>. Yes, there is a story, and I shall post it when I
- feel it is polished enough.
- PPS. In a way, however, I'm glad I got sick. I'm so busy thinking about
- my physical pain that it takes my mind off my emotional pain. :-/
