  35. I think the movie you're referring to is: "Somewhere In Time."  I,
  36. too, thought it was pretty good.

  38. There's another few that came to mind:  "The Thorn Birds" - very sad and
  39. VERY romantic (the story of a young girl who falls in love with a
  40. priest (played by Richard Chamberlain) and knows that someday, she
  41. will marry him...the movie follows them to the death of one of them).

  43. The other I thought of right away was:  "The Promise" - also very sad and
  44. romantic (story of young couple who falls in love even though her mother
  45. doesn't approve of their relationship.  they're involved in an 
  46. accident, and the mother goes about planting seeds of doubt in the minds
  47. of both the young lovers, effectively tearing them apart.  rent it and
  48. see what happens then).
