- Well, for my boyfriend's college graduation last year I got him a
- pocketwatch. It's very different -- most men don't have them, but
- they're sort of coming back into vogue. (at least among my friends --
- after I got him his, lots of men started recieving them as gifts!) He
- really liked it because it's sort of a traditional thing -- he likes
- the idea of pulling it out to show his grandchildren someday. Also,
- pocket watches lend themselves to engraving, so you could have
- something written on it about your wedding. (Or just his initials, if
- he's *that* non-sappy.)
-
- Most jewelry stores stock at least a few. I got his at a store that
- specialized in watches. It and the chain are gold-plated, and
- together were just under $100. They run from about $50 up, depending
- on the quality of watch and how much gold is in it. (Obviously, solid
- gold watches are prohibitively expensive!)
-
- Good luck!
