- For those of you out there who are trying to get over a broken romance --
- and I know you're out there -- I've been reading a wonderful book which some
- of you might very well find as enlightening as I did.
-
- It's called "The Road Less Traveled." Actually, it's one in the series and
- this particular book is called "A New Psychology of Love, Traditional
- Values and Spiritual Growth." The title makes it sound more religious than
- it really is. It does hit upon religion, but it isn't heavy handed and if
- I, as a spiritual agnostic, can deal with it, it's not too bad.
-
- Anyway, the middle third of the book is all about what constitutes love,
- true love, and I thought that this was so enlightening that I wanted to share
- it with you. It's really made a difference for me and usually, although I'm
- a voracious reader, books don't "make a difference."
-
- Anyway, the book talks about the "myth of romantic love" and dependence and
- independence and, wow, I can't even begin to describe it all. All I can say
- is this: if you've recently broken up with someone "you can't live without"
- then you need to read this book.
