- There are certainly some very specific guidelines for how to do a 4th
- step in the Big Book (Alcoholics Anonymous), and the 12 & 12 (Twelve
- Steps and Twelve Traditions). Both of these have some excellent
- guidlines on doing a "Searching and Fearless moral inventory." I
- would also suggest the Al-Anon pamphlet "Inventory Blueprint" (I
- think it's called). I know, I know, it's heretical to suggest an
- *Al-Anon* pamphlet for AA use ( ;-) ), but it is *really* good, very
- thorough, and clear. Of course, all of this is just suggestion ;-)

- Great advice! I *never* would have survived doing a 4th step wiithout
- letting people know what I was doing. It's the only way!
