  16. I've got 1, 2, and 3.  Three is the worst.  1 and 2 are sort of dated now, but

  38. Comments: A really broad selection of dance music.  Some very housey stuff in
  39. the "oo la la" vein like Manix "Feel Real Good".  Some head splitting
  40. aggressive techno in the classic "There Is No Law".  Then some funky techno
  41. with "Jellywobble".  A great compilation, something that I listen to off the
  42. dance floor as well.

  44. Summary: 8/10.  Packed with music, but usually around $20 for this import.

  65. Comments: A mixed bag of good stuff.  It truly is amazing they can pack so
  66. many tracks on one disc.  However, if you own any of the original singles you
  67. realize that they're chopping some of them.  Why they cut short something like
  68. "Invasion" and leave a loser like "Take Me Away" full length is beyond me.
  69. "Move Your Feet" bears a striking resemblance to Moby's Rainforest Mix of "Go"
  70. and "Injected With A Poison" is a snippet of the original piece.  "Nightmare"
  71. annoys me almost as much as "Dominator" used to, but it still is good
  72. dancefloor fodder.  This disc remains a good sampler though, but if you like
  73. something, track down the single because there is likely to be more.

  75. Summary: 6/10.  I would prefer fewer FULL length tracks on a disc rather than
  76. a collection of CHOPPED tracks.

  97. Comments: Gut wrenching chipmunk techno in the style I've grown to hate.
  98. "Sesame's Treat" and "Rave Alert" may fly at a rave, but they drop dead with
  99. me personally.  This disc was a real disappointment in the usually good Kaos
  100. series.  Even the ACEN track is lame.  What was amazing to me was the "Earth
  101. Leakage Trip" track is very good in the spooky style of Coil's "The Snow".  It
  102. is about the only saving grace of this disc which took me about three days to
  103. listen to in it's entirety.

  105. Summary: 2/10.  This would be a zero if it wasn't for the last track.  Thank
  106. God it wasn't edited to 4.5 minutes like the rest.

  127. Comments: Oh God!  This disc is orgasm for my ears.  I know this isn't
  128. directly in the techno vein, but I bought this comp with several other techno
  129. comps and it blows them all away.  The only drawback to this disc is the fact
  130. that I was sort of disappointed in the Erasure track, or to be more precise,
  131. Orb's remix of the Erasure track.  Maybe it is because Alex & Thrash left the
  132. vocals in, but I just found it below par for Orb.  Every other track is just
  133. magnificent.  "Genki" by Bleep & Booster is absolutely addictive.  "Philip
  134. Glass" by Colourbox is an excellent tribute.  The Suns of Arqa do some very
  135. interesting Indian style music, and the remix is terrific dance.  Strangely
  136. enough, "The Path" by Ohi Ho Bang Bang is a swing tune, but it fits right in.
  137. What I've got to do now is find everything ever made by all the bands on this
  138. disc (except you-know-who).

  140. Summary: 9.5/10.  If Andy Bell wasn't on this, I'd give it a 10, call me
  141. spiteful.  Buy at any price.  Probably around $21 in the states.

  167. reviews have been few and far between.  I've got one that is about 75%
  168. written, but the power supply for my portable CD player died.  Time, its just
  169. a question of time.
