  23. Isn't it obvious from listening to those songs? Yes.
  24. In fact, the vocoder was invented by Homer Dudley in the '30s.
  25. Walter Carlos used one in music for the '70 soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange.
  26. Kraftwerk's first vocoder was built for them by Sennheiser in the '70s.
  27. They also use standard EMS vocoders.
