- My concern so far is with studio use, but I would trust my
- Mac for live use (given the normal precautions).
- I would also want to create music in as close to the same way as possible
- no matter where I go. This means computerS, synths, samplers, effects,
- open communications with my collaborator and no staging for visual interest.

- It'll never work! :)

- I guess there's an assumption that if you use computers then you are
- doing it *all* with the computer. Not so for me and thus the "multiplatform"
- in the subject line. (Basically, I'm convinced that I don't use my sequencer
- the same way as anybody else and the majority of my midi files would
- leave the average computer-midi-synthesist completely puzzled.)
-
- Running several synths with midi and from a Mac or PC sequencer,
- I haven't had a problem controlling any midi-accessible continous
- controllers. But I'm a "hands on" kind of guy :) and likewise I haven't
- had a problem with grabbing a knob on a synth while playing live or
- via midi. Despite being a studio-based Techno maker, I take a
- substantially live approach to things.
-
- As to live filtering of Mac samples under midi control....well that's
- another matter entirely. I'm not saying it can't be done, tho.
