- CB is at about 26-27 MHz, and the Icom does not go that low. Poops
- out, as I recall, at above 108 MHz.

- Most scanners do not go as low as that. One of mine goes down to 30
- MHz but not lower. (The historical boundary between HF and VHF is
- 30 MHz, which may have influenced all this.)

- What's more, CB is AM (and, for a few users, SSB). Many scanners
- pick up only FM. The W2A does pick up AM (for the aircraft band)
- but as mentioned above does not go all the way down to the CB band.

- Since cordless phones are at 49 MHz, and the W2A does not go that
- low, it also is no good for cordless phones.
