  17. Inn. Wood panelled floor with the occasional stone insets to help
  18. give support to some of the Inn's larger customers.
  19. Smokey rafters that would never be clean again, and the ever-
  20. present Littlefair, wiping a glass behind the bar as he exchanged
  21. pleasantries with another patron.

  23. The Rabble had quietened down to a low buzz as they made bets on
  24. anything and everything they could see, smell or spit on, and the
  25. shadowy corners seemed to somehow be less menacing than usual.

  27. The number of non-descript people with something non-non-descript
  28. about them still seemed to be high, but that was to be expected.
  29. An Inn like Littlefair's seemed to attract more than its fair
  30. share of oddities.

  32. ..sage grinned. As a blind albino drow, who was also a librarian
  33. and an archmage, he was hardly a non-oddity himself.

  35. His mind wandered to Father Lucas again, the man who had appeared
  36. from the bulk of Great Mother, and who he had taken away from the
  37. unholy grotto before it collapsed on top of them.

  39. He could not delve past the apathy that encompassed this man's mind.
  40. It was all-consuming and ...sage would give up probing each time, 
  41. before he realized it, despite his determined resolve.

  43. Catching Littlefair's eye, he motioned the barkeep over and ordered
  44. a 'Melancholy Orange' for the morose priest, then watched with 
  45. blank eyes as a serving girl dropped off the drink at Luke's table.
