  20. have done at times to try to convince people to see this whole issue in a
  21. different light is inexcusable in that I lectured at them as if I were some
  22. superior being. Its not true. No one here is better than anyone else. We all just
  23. have different opinions. You can't change someone through hatred, denegration,
  24. and logic. Its far better to be civil and discuss, instead of argue.  Its almost
  25. painful to read at times. Well, hopefully, some of you will respond to this
  26. letter and tell me what you think should be done about the way people conduct 
  27. themselves around here. I'm worried because being self-righteous and refusing
  28. to listen is a trap that's all to easy to fall into and will be counterproductive
  29. to achieving our goal of finding some mutual ground to discuss this issue like
  30. adults. Come on. I shouldn't have to tell you all this. I'm 18. some of you
  31. people are in your late 30's. This should be ingrained by now. Tell me what you
  32. all think, of course, given the way things go around here, I doubt that will be
  33. a problem.
