  16. To all those interested in international relations, politics, and the
  17. United Nations -- WorldMUN is a great forum for the discussion of 
  18. current issues being debated by the United Nations today:

  20. Harvard World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) is an international
  21. conference that brings together university students and young
  22. professionals from around the globe to siimulate the workings of the
  23. United Nations.  The second annual WorldMUN conference will be held from
  24. March 28, 1993, through March 31, 1993, at the Hotel Diplomat in Prague,
  25. The Czech Republic.

  27. Ten committees, representing the General Assembly, Economic and Social
  28. Council, and Specialized Agencies of the United Nations, will discuss
  29. issues from the actual UN agenda.  In addition to the formal debate of
  30. resolutions, committee sessions will be augmented by presentations from
  31. politicians, businessmen, scholars, and activists who have helped shape
  32. the dramatic world events of recent years.

  34. In this era of momentous political change, WorldMUN seeks to assess the
  35. role of the United Nations in a new world order.  WorldMUN marks the first
  36. truly international simulated United Nations where participants play the
  37. roles of their own nation's ambassadors.  WorldMUN strives to teach
  38. tomorrow's leaders about the United Nations and its methods of conflict
  39. resolution.  It aims to foster skills in negotiation and debate, in order
  40. that delegates may formulate resolutions on topics currently discussed in
  41. the real United Nations.  These resolutions will be sent to the actual
  42. United Nations committees.

  44. WorldMUN 1993 will take place at the Hotel Diplomat in Prague,
  45. The Czech Republic.  The Hotel Diplomat is Prague's most modern conference
  46. center.  Prague is both one of the most beautiful metropoles of Europe and
  47. an ideal location for debating current world politics and the changing
  48. role of the United Nations.

  50. The Hotel diplomat is a luxury resort that offers restaurants, shops, a
  51. night club, and fitness and spa equipment.  Delegates will stay at the
  52. Hotel Diplomat for the reduced rate of 130DM/day double occupancy, which
  53. includes two meals a day.
