  12. Many parts of the post make sense.  But there is one major gaping hole in it:

  14. On what basis can you claim that some of the parts of the bible make sense or
  15. are logically acceptable, and therefore the entirety of it all is 100%
  16. accurate?

  18. To take a relatively simple example, consider the story of Adam and Eve.  Do
  19. you accept the idea that they were the first members of the human race?
  20. If so, have you ever taken a genetics course?  Ever wondered why children
  21. produced by incest often have major health problems?  Do you believe that
  22. all the species of animals on the earth can be placed in a boat (however large)
  23. built out of wood?

  25. Bible discussion on alt.atheism takes the form of complaining about the Bible's
  26. reference to pi as being 3.  This is patently ridiculous.  I hope this doesn't
  27. turn into something similar.
