  14. Last night I found out the guy I have been dating for almost a year has decided
  15.  that monogamy isn't for him.  He says he loves me, but he wants to have sex
  16. with other people.  I feel that there must be something wrong with me, that I
  17. can't satisfy him.  He says I satisfy him and that it isn't me.  Our sex life
  18. has always been great.  What I'm trying to understand is his need for this.

  20. He asked me if I wanted to know about the other women.  It was up to me.  I
  21. guess you could say I'm not sure I could handle it.  He knows that I've always
  22. believed in monogamy. He says I would understand and not ask him to change if
  23. loved him.  But, is he asking me to change?  I'm scared that he will find some-
  24. one else.  I'm petrified that I will end up being hurt.

  26. I love this guy with all my heart but I don't know if emotionally I could han-
  27. dle knowing he is making love to other women.  I don't want to get hurt anymore
  28.  that I already have.

  30. What I would like, is for someone to try and explain the attraction or the need
  31.  to have sex with someone other than the person you love.  I could understand
  32. if our sex life was bad, but it's not.
