  33. Most people who are involved in 'open' relationships that work decide
  34. to have 'open' relationships quite some time after they have been married/
  35. committed to each other. In fact, everyone I know who is in an 
  36. 'open' marriage did the spouse only thing for at least a few years.
  37. They committed, and then later on down the road, they *both* decided that
  38. having a relationship where they were both able to express their affection
  39. for other people in a physical manner was a desirable thing.

  43. Them = Committed, dealt with a growing relationship in an adult manner.

  58. in open relationships are cheating on their wives, well, you are way off
  59. base. The wives know and *approve* of their husband's activities and are
  60. themselves engaged in said activities. Please, your views are fine for
  61. you, but don't assume that they are what every woman in the world wants.
