- Hate to break it to you, but the government certainly does tell us what is
- art. Where were you during the Maplethorpe controversy? Why do you think
- movies have a rating and who do you think determines that rating? Who
- controls the funds given out by the NEA? The fact that we have given the
- government the power to "protect us from ourselves" does not mean that
- government action taken to that end does not constitute discrimination. You
- may not agree with it, but yes, the government does have the right to
- discriminate. And until enough people complain about discrimination against
- people on the basis of sexual preference, it will continue.
