  26. If the rift is simply a physical one that separates you by mere miles,
  27. then the love you have for one another should be strong enough not to
  28. need bolstering. I do understand though, that a ceremony or ritual
  29. can make those miles vanish in the hearts of the lovers. So can an
  30. occasional phone call or letter (letters are better as they can be
  31. reread often).

  33. If, however, the rift is caused by something emotional between you,
  34. then unless you both consent, the rituals won't do any good. In fact,
  35. trying to bind someone to you either against their will or without 
  36. their knowledge is a misuse of power. Don't do this unless your kharmic
  37. dance card is empty.
