- I just tossed Murph and Tiny Toons in there for yucks and the
- occasional Quayle cheap shot. The Bloodworth-Thomases (Linda, and I
- forget her husband's name) produced the Clinton puff-piece "The Man
- From Hope", and were very much a part of Clinton's campaign. They are
- also the producers of several sitcoms, including "Designing Women,"
- "Hearts of Fire," and "Evening Shade." I've never watched any of them
- for more than 15 seconds, as sitcoms make me puke, so I can't say if
- they do any advocacy in their shows or not. However, the premise of
- "Hearts of Fire" sounds a bit conservative-bashing to me, and does
- anyone think it unreasonable to feel that the fact that Delta Burke is
- a staunch Republican may have had something to do with her
- unceremonious dumping from "Designing Women" in spite of the popularity
- of the character?
