- This thread makes me realise how... unique TMBG is. There's just no
- one who quite makes a similar sound. Sure there are other groups that churn
- out some weird stuff, and some of them are pretty good. But they don't
- match up to TMBG, IMNSHO, and don't really sound much like them. The only
- other entertainers who are like the Johns in this respect (that I can think
- of) are Penn & Teller. No one even tries imitating them.
- I mean, I love TMBG, but my taste is music otherwise bears no
- similarities to their style. (Top artists: Concrete Blonde, Talking Heads,
- Midnight Oil, Paul Simon...)
