- For me it was different with bacterial infections. Viral infections
- like colds and the flu I stopped getting, but bacterial infections --
- weird ones at that -- started happening all the time. For the first
- year I got "impetigo" -- sort of like "strep face" (though usually a
- staph, not strep infection) -- five times on my face. This is an
- unusual bacterial infection that is common only in babies with diaper
- rash. I also got a lot of bacterial infections in my eyes. But no
- noticeable viral infections.

- So the immune gets sort-of up-regulated in some ways and
- down-regulated in others, at least that's how it was with me.
