- If you must know, it kills you AND destroys your soul, from the horror
- of your sheer insignificance compared to the whole universe. The priniciple
- it's based on doesn't work. It depends on the fact that everything in the
- universe affects everything else in some way, so you can reconstruct the
- entire universe from a piece of cake. The problem is that when many
- different things act upon a single object, it's impossible to tell what
- different causes are responsible for the result you get. Here's a simple
- analogy: I tell you that there are several numbers and they add up to six.
- You can't figure out what the numbers are from that. The six may be the
- result of a one, a three and a two, but as far as you can tell, the universe
- (the number six) consists of all two's.
- Anyway, I think that people are important no matter how small they are.
