- Your first place to look for questions of "permission" is the policies
- of your local site. They will know whether commercial uses are
- discouraged, prohibited, or welcomed. The net (as a whole) does
- not have any single policy on commercial use, though people will
- tend to flame you if you do silly things like advertise in all
- caps big letters or crosspost articles to 100s of inappropriate groups.
