- Yeah, I guess I'm in a catch 22. I'd like to keep the meager 16mpg that the
- tall gearing gives around town.
- I should have also included the "useable" duration specs which are int:214 deg
- @ 0.050" lift and exh:224 deg @ 0.050" lift. This cam gives plenty of low end
- torque to smoke the tires, its just that once you launch (partial throttle to
- avoid wheelspin) it "feels" like theres a delay before you feel the after burners
- kick in. This occurs at about 2500 rpm. I was hoping to reduce the lag time
- to the absolute minimum that is possible. (I'd like to acheive 2.5 sec 60' time)
-
- I hate to admit this but the carb is set up with a two stage power valve.
- (please try to contain riotous laughter). Again, in an attempt to maintain
- sanity at the gas pump. I realize this restricts total fuel flow, but I can
- manage 20mpg on the highway on a cool day.
-
- Besides, according to hot rodder's rule #2 The engine never makes as much power
- as you think it should. Corollary: Your car is never as fast as you think it
- should be.
-
-
- If it wasnt for that I wouldnt try.
