  11. I don't know about the rest of you devout horror fans, but I must say that
  12. my favorite "Dead things attacking people" type movie was:

  14. RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD...
  15.  
  16. Although the prequel, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (in B/W) pulls a close second.
  17. And the sequel, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD II just SuCkEd immensely (nothing
  18. more degrading than trying to make a comedy out of a horror)

  20. But ROTLD was cool...  the story line had continuity...  there was very few
  21. loopholes (in any?)...  and (the one thing that can really pull a horror down)
  22. there wasn't a single character that was "the hero".  You know, the guy that
  23. does things that no one in the right mind would do (take big risks)...

  25. People were actually scared.  The punks in that gang didn't act 'tough' once
  26. they knew what they were up against...  I thought it was a pretty realistic
  27. way people would act under those circumstances.

  29. AND, the ending was cool (probably the hardest thing to do to a horror movie 
  30. is give it a good ending)...  when they nuked the city...  I was quite content
  31. that they didn't send a small army in to get mangled by the corpses (that 
  32. would've been a real cliche...  army attacks supernatural force and gets its
  33. ass kicked)

  35. ROTLD is a classic...  if you haven't seen it...  you're missing out.
