- I disagree. First off, Theo didn't claim that J.J. Cale didn't perform
- his own stuff, he simply requested the tab and lyrics to E.C.'s performance
- of J.J.'s song. Clapton did not murder "After Midnight"...he, in fact,
- created two incredible versions of this song, adding to Cale's incredible
- version, making three incredible versions of this song available to the
- masses. Clapton and Cale are both excellent guitarists in my mind and
- I hate it when purists think that cover songs bite because they're too
- obsessed with the unpopular chump who actually wrote the song. I'm not
- claiming this is the case, I'm just stating a thought. Anyway, I apologize
- for what I've said, if it incorrectly assumes your position. And, I'd
- love to see someone post any version of "After Midnight".
