  18.    Like a lot of us, I just like to plug in my guitar and start playing.  But
  19.    know I am curious about the pick-ups and how they are arranged.

  21.    I have an american standard strat.  Are the 3 pick-ups the same and just 
  22.    their positioning gives a different tone?  or what are their differences?

  24. The three pickups on an Amercian Standard Stratocaster are identical (or as
  25. identical as Fender's manufacturing tolerances permit) with the single
  26. exception that the middle pickup has it's magnets polarized opposite and
  27. has it's leads reversed as compared to the other two pickups for hum
  28. cancellation reasons.  See the StratoFAQ for details.
