- Like a lot of us, I just like to plug in my guitar and start playing. But
- know I am curious about the pick-ups and how they are arranged.
-
- I have an american standard strat. Are the 3 pick-ups the same and just
- their positioning gives a different tone? or what are their differences?
-
- The three pickups on an Amercian Standard Stratocaster are identical (or as
- identical as Fender's manufacturing tolerances permit) with the single
- exception that the middle pickup has it's magnets polarized opposite and
- has it's leads reversed as compared to the other two pickups for hum
- cancellation reasons. See the StratoFAQ for details.
