  28. along the lines of this in Infiniverse:

  30.     The 1992 elections, which were originally suspended for the duration
  31. of the Possibility Wars, were reinstated after a Texas billionaire's
  32. whirlwind grass-roots campaign created such a public relations stink 
  33. that the elections were re-instated.  
  34.     Although a new presindent was elelcted  Nov 3, how much power 
  35. he actually has (and how much remains in the hands of the Delphi Council
  36. remains to be seen).
