- Dear Jason.
-
- The day you woke up from your computer lethargy will be written in capital
- letters in the next calendar. Yes, that day Gabriel, the angel, came to
- you and gave you a trementous and terrible mission to fulfill: lead Michele
- to knowledge.
-
- After ten or more days, everybody sees the conclusions of your mission:
- although Michele has been continuously and hardly bashed during those days,
- you didn't succeed in your mission. We all know it's not your fault:
- how can you lead a pig to knowledge is a thing that no living human being
- can do.
-
- Unfortunately Gabriel didn't give you some basic suggestions on how
- to perform your mission: you made mistakes, and you have been (and will
- always be) flamed for those. Here is my flaming contribute:
-
- 1) learn how to use the commands 'dd' and '[n]dd' of vi, or
- the similar commands of the editor you use. It's pretty sad,
- but your endless responses to Michele often have been treated
- with the command 'n' of rn, in the same way the Darcy & company
- threads are treated with the command 'k'.
-
- 2) Try to avoid the endless cascade of "you didn't understood" -
- "yes I did" - "No you didn't" ..... I know, this is the typical
- Michele style, but you sufficiently smart in order to avoid to
- use his own style of follows-up.
-
- 3) Say your concepts only once or twice (and not 100 times). I know,
- repetition is the key of the learning processes, but it doesn't
- work with the brainless people like Michele.
- And unfortunately repetition is BORING, and this is a big fault
- here in this nice and friendly community.
-
- 4) don't make the BRIT! That is: when somebody flames you, don't start
- to act like you have the *real* knowledge and all the others are
- dumb (well, this is only part of the 'don't make the brit tip',
- the rest will be held for further discussions - anyway to be
- called 'Brit' is a real hitting offense).
-
- And don't be pissed off with your dear and nice friend Moana: I didn't flame
- you for your ideas (I completely agree with almost all of them, at least until
- I had the holy patience to follow your threads), but for the reasons that
- I enumerated in this long (I know, it's a mistake) post.
-
-
- I hope it's *really* clear now. And I hope you don't get pissed off again if
- I end my post with a kind and nice FUCK YOU coming directly from my heart :-)
-
-
- Best regards. Moana.
-
- PS: Cheers to Gabriel, too!
