- Bingo. Wolf is just shoddy in her research. What sense does it
- make to analyze recent stuff from the popular media without putting it
- in the context of the history of Western art? But it's academically
- safer to attack Madonna or Playboy or Vogue than stuff with the patina
- of history and reputation overlaying its worship of beauty and
- eroticism. And it's less work :-).
