  22.     Bingo. Wolf is just shoddy in her research. What sense does it
  23. make to analyze recent stuff from the popular media without putting it
  24. in the context of the history of Western art? But it's academically
  25. safer to attack Madonna or Playboy or Vogue than stuff with the patina
  26. of history and reputation overlaying its worship of beauty and
  27. eroticism. And it's less work :-).
