- I got the point, but actually, Karl Lagerfeldt was an established
- designer in his own name when he got a chance with Chanel. Chanel is of
- course an even bigger name, and K.L. being a kind of fashion scholar
- seems to enjoy doing pastishes of the later Chanel styles.
