- Yes. In the first Jeeves story, Florence Craye is trying to get Bertie to
- steal Uncle Willoghby's Memoirs because they contain scandoulous tales about
- the aristocracy. One of the anecdotes concerns Lord Emsworth which shocks
- Bertie. Bertie describes Emsworth as "a harmless old chappie who potters
- around digging up spuds" (paraphrase). In "Wooster's World", it is suggested
- that Uncle Willoghby's memory is faulty, because Galahad claims that Clarence's
- only claim to fame when they were young was the abilty to mix a superb salad.
