- I was under the impression that the First Age began with the creation
- of the Two Trees and the Count of Time (I see what You mean about
- Capitalization! :-) ). The term "First Age" implies some sort of
- time-keeping, and apparently this wasn't done until the regular
- waxing and waning of the Trees began. I don't think we are given
- any indication of how much time passed between the creation of Ea
- and the creation of the Trees, but it could easily have been an
- enormous amount, far longer than the whole subsequent history of
- Arda (maybe even 4.5 billion "years"??).
