  14.     I am the DSCH novice who is soliciting recommendations from this 
  15. newsgroup.  I have received many enthusiastic suggestions to listen to the
  16. 8th Quartet.  In fact, "enthusiastic" is perhaps the understatement of the
  17. year.  Anyway, if I may dare to utter taboo names, how is the Kronos Quartet 
  18. version of the 8th, which I believe is on their "Black Angels" CD?  I ordered
  19. this disc through the mail just before I subscribed to a.f.s., but it has not
  20. yet arrived.  Since I have been castigated for my choice of Karajan's 
  21. performance of DSCH's 10th, I would like to make sure that the Kronos 
  22. performance is orthodox with the veterans of this newsgroup.  So, as the title 
  23. implies, is the Kronos good, bad or not-fit-to-be-wiped-off-with-toilet-paper?  
  24. And by the way, do not be concerned that I may have wasted any money, because 
  25. I ordered CD for Tallis's Spem in Alium transcription.
