- That would need high odds. Let's change the terms a little, by
- extrapolating Nosy's "prediction" for 4 years from this year's
- numbers. Mr. Bush and the CBO say $325 billion and Mr. Hillary is
- going to add $25 billion at least. Call it $350b this year and let's
- escalate it by 20% per year. The cumulative figure over the next four
- years (let's make this easy, to calendar year end 1996 - I know, I
- know, they're not all Mr. Hillary's budgets - we're trying to keep
- this simple) would be $1890b.

- liberal extrapolation would be about $6100b at Dec. 31, 1996.
