  11.    We already knew that "invest" is a buzzword for "spend."

  13.    Now we're learning that promises are just "goals."
  14.  
  15.    We've learned that $18 billion (about 5% of the deficit) is reason enough
  16. to backpedal from plans to cut the deficit in half over four years.  They
  17. won't even set the goal of cutting it by 45% (50% - 5%) now.

  19.    George Mitchell clearly stated that there is no intention to pass a middle
  20. class tax cut on the Today Show this morning.  Surprise, surprise.  I never
  21. fell for the charade.

  23.    Did you really believe that a modern-day Democrat would cut *anyone's*
  24. taxes?  I'd have no problem if Clinton said "I'm not going to cut anyone's
  25. taxes because we need the revenue to trim the deficit."  I would support such a
  26. position.  But he lied to us.

  28.    Jeeze...as much as Bush broke his promise with "Read My Lips," it at least
  29. took him almost two years to do it.
