I'm not disputing that spoilers are needed for some people who haven't
had the chance to read the book yet.  My only query is *how long* should
they be required?  Until the book has been out in softcover for a
year in every country?  For instance, have places like China and Russia
actually had any of the books?

This is not a flame, it's a real point.  As I said in another article,
if you look in the Star Trek groups they're posting without spoilers on
season 6, when we've only had three and Australia (I believe) is only
just starting 3.  OK, so they don't care about the rest of the world,
and on a.f.p we care more.  But where should be the limit?
