  17. Personally, I feel that Pern is SF, but in a fantasy setting.
  18. After all, it's basically just about human beings, their long-
  19. lost science, and their interactions with alien beings (dragons,
  20. Thread).  Remember, the dragons are extraterrestrial creatures,
  21. not fantasy creatures.

  23. You could make an equal case for Pern being a series of romance 
  24. stories, btw.  There is a lot of romance in there...
