- Man, in the book he was repulsive. Fat, ugly, wearing those speedos at the pool
- with those reflector things around his neck, bleaahhh. Disgusting creature.
- Cool thing is in the book he was a SMERSH agent. More plausible than being an
- independently funded villain, though of course he could easily have afforded
- such an affair as he did in the movie in any case. What was Goldfinger trying
- to do in the book? It's been a while since I read it (not one of my favorite
- books - too dry for me). Was it just destroying America's apparent financial
- base (if I recall, we're not on any standard except trust in the government)
- so that the Soviet Union could be a greater world power?
-
- My favorite villain would probably be Buonaparte Ignace Gallia (sp?) from
- Live And Let Die. This guy had everything - brains, manpower, and even so
- his minions weren't stupid. Bond had a lot of problems trying to beat this
- guy. Largo for me makes a second place pick. Third? I don't know. The other
- villains didn't seem to have what Mr. Big had. Very respectable villain.
