  17.                    Stern Sound File List

  23. Creation Technique:
  24.     These are all digitzed at 11047 samples/sec on my Amiga 2000. Lately
  25.     I've been working with Audition 4, so they might be at 11046. 
  26.  
  27. Requests:
  28.     You must make SAME DAY requests,
  29.     BEFORE 3:00 PM EST Each day.
  30.         Tell me the TIME the bit/song/whatever appeared. 
  31.  
  32.         Example: 
  33.            The Elvis Conversation rerun at 9:30.
  34.  
  35.             Something like that. I rewrite over the tape OVER AND OVER 
  36.             each day, so if you don't tell me before I start listening 
  37.             at 3:00 PM that day, forget it.

  39.     OR
  40.  
  41.             If you have your own tapes of stuff, simply email me,
  42.             tell me you have a tape, and want it digitized - and
  43.             Snail-Mail it to me. I keep all tapes. (sorry.)

  45. Conversion:
  46.     To convert to any Non-Amiga format, you're gonna have to do a little work. 
  47.     Amiga: 
  48.         NO CONVERSION NEEDED!
  49.         Just use ANY Amiga sound program to play. 
  50.         My favorite is oplay, my next favorite is superplay. 
  51.     IBM: 
  52.         There's a file ifftovoc.zip somewhere in the world. Get it. 
  53.         Let me know where it is, and I'll put it in this space.
  54.         I'm also told there's a program called WHAM13 which will directly
  55.         play .iff files on Windows with a soundcard.
  56.     Mac: 
  57.         On mac.archive.umich.edu:
  58.         "/mac/sound/soundutil/amigasoundconverter 1.01.cpt.hqx" 
  59.         to convert.
  60.     UNIX/AU: 
  61.         Use sox - the REALLY neeto sound conversion tool.
  62.         %sox soundfile.8svx -U -b -r 8000 soundfile.au
