  13. Anyone who says Adams has lost his touch as a comic writer has not read
  14. "Last Chance to See", the environmental book he wrote about his jaunts
  15. around the world to look at vanishing wildlife. It's not only socially
  16. relevant, it's funny, charming, and haunting, and it is in my view some
  17. of the best comic work written by anyone, ever. And it's mostly true.
  18. Adams' fable at the end about the books containing all the knowledge in
  19. the world is a minor masterpiece.

  21. But you're right. I didn't like Mostly Harmless NEARLY as well as any of
  22. Adams' other books. But at least read LCTS before you give up on him
  23.
