- Well I always thought it was meant to stand for "Infinite Dimensions",
- (ie the very first name anyone might come up with, and the vogons spent
- millions on it in typical marketing fashion.) but Ford reacts when he
- hears it because it sounds like the organisation is "Infinitely Dim".
