  11. Pardon me if this was discussed over Winter Break, but I was flipping through
  12. a People magazine (I don't subscribe I swear!  I was just bored!) and they
  13. had a list of the Worst books of the year, and P.J. O Rourke was in there
  14. with his book (I don't remember the name) and Dave Barry got a runner-up
  15. spot with "Dave Barry Does Japan".

  17. I couldn't believe it.  I can't vouch for P.J. O'Rouke's book, but Dave's book
  18. ... well we all know how good it is.   It certainly is probably one of the 
  19. BEST books of the year (at least in the humor field).   Who makes that list?
  20. Well, it's People magazine, no one really has an respect for them or their
  21. opinions anyway.

  23. Incidentally, all the BEST books were books that I've never heard of, and
  24. sound VERY dry and boring like "A Study of Southern Tibet in the 12th Century"
  25. or stuff like that.
