- this year, but State Assembly Bill 53 is a renewal for 4 (?)
- more years.

- There was an article in the Sac Bee about abuses of these laws,
- but Dan Lungren, our state Attorney General, has said that they
- are great for the budget problems, and he hopes to bring CA laws
- more in line with Federal laws. He was referring to the fact that
- in CA, the State has to show your house/car is connected to drug
- money before they can take it; according to the article, the
- federal laws place the burden on you to prove your property is
- clean.
